Hello! I am Jacqueline A. Ballestas, the heart and face behind Opal.
I was born in beautiful Colombia. Thirteen years ago, life brought me to the United States, a nation for which I deeply thank God because it has provided me with safety, prosperity, and the home where I have built a beautiful family. I am a mother of three: Nicolas, Sarah, and my little Grace, and I walk hand in hand with my husband in a happy 12-year marriage in the city of Orlando, Florida.

The Awakening
When Health Became a Priority
Five years ago, my family and I faced serious health challenges that changed our lives. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, prediabetes, and ulcerative gastritis. My husband struggled with chronic pain from herniated discs, while my daughters battled persistent eczema that conventional treatments couldn’t relieve. Determined to find answers, I immersed myself in the study of metabolism, gut health, detoxification, and holistic wellness. Through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and a deeper understanding of the body’s natural ability to heal, I discovered a new path—one that would eventually become the foundation of Opal.
The Journey to Healing
Nutrition and Botanical Wisdom:
Guided by faith and determination, I transformed our lifestyle. We eliminated processed carbohydrates, sugars, and inflammatory foods. But I knew I had to go further: I decided to study and obtain my license in natural cosmetics—internationally accredited with a Diploma in Natural Skincare Formulation—to create my own botanical remedies and treat my daughters’ skin in the purest way possible.
I recalled the teachings of my grandmother in Colombia, who always had a herbal remedy for everything, and I merged them with my professional training and my life experience.
A Testimony of Life Turned Into a Brand
We are a family that lives under the conviction that changing habits and conscious nutrition produce amazing results. Opal was born from this family miracle. Today, the results are our best testimony:
